ABOUT US
Emily - Speech Pathologist
Emily studied at the Australian Catholic University where she acquired a Bachelor of Speech Pathology. Excelling across paediatric subjects, she developed a passionate for helping children communicate effectively. Since graduating, Emily has completed Hanen ‘It Takes Two to Talk’, Lidcombe Program and Sound-Write training. She has extensive experience working with children between 0-12 years across a variety of settings including schools and community health.
Emily is devoted to providing family centred care and evidence based intervention to support children in achieving their communication goals. Her collaborative and enthusiastic approach, engages children during therapy. Emily understands the time constraints of busy parents which ensures that home programs are functional, play based and fun.
Outside of speech pathology, Emily is a huge Sydney Swans AFL fan, enjoys going to the beach and doing reformer pilates.

Do I need a referral to book an appointment?No referral is needed. We encourage parents to trust their instinct and arrange an appointment as soon as concerns arise. Access to early intervention will prevent your child’s difficulties escalating.

Do I have to pay a travel fee?Not if you are inside the catchment area. As a mobile service, travel is all part of the job! We want to make sure your child is receiving a service that is convenient for you.

Do we accept private health, NDIS and medicare plans?Yes! We accept all major health funds, medicare plans and NDIS (self funded and plan managed). Chat-A-Box Speech Therapy can provide on the spot claims for you via Tyro Health.

What suburbs do you visit?Chat-A-Box Speech Therapy travels to the following suburbs, however it is not limited to this list. Abbotsford, Annandale, Ashbury, Ashfield, Belfield, Belmore, Burwood, Campsie, Canada Bay, Canterbury, Chiswick, Clemton Park, Concord, Croydon, Croydon Park, Drummoyne, Dulwich Hill, Earlwood, Enfield, Enmore, Five Dock, Greenacre, Haberfield, Leichhardt, Marrickville, Newtown, Petersham, Rodd Point, Russell Lea, Stanmore, Strathfield, Summer Hill and Wareemba. You can even search your address in our map to see if we can come to you!

Am I still eligible for your service if I am outside of the catchment radius?Yes! We also offer telehealth services via ZOOM but we may be able to come to you depending on how far you are from the listed suburbs above (a travel fee may be charged). During the COVID-19 pandemic, we provided intervention to toddler-school aged children. Sessions were enjoyable and remained goal focused.

Do you visit daycare, preschool and school facilitates?Yes! This would need to be arranged with your educator, but Chat-A-Box Speech Therapy is flexible in where service is provided.
